The best way to handle situations like this is with humor.

When I'm trying to haggle out a deal like this and the other party is givin me crap about what its worth, essentially lowballin me....I will relent and say "you're right, you can just have it for free". Get him/her in a trade screen and then go make yourself a sandwich or something.

Did this several times. A few times I was amazed at how long they'd stay in the trade window, freaking out....."OMG NOOB WTF" spammed across my message window.

Very good advice. Never take anything in this game too seriously and always take everything in stride. Saves you a lot of heartache in the log run.

Not the stupidest by far, but I didnt ran into things for quite some while now.
Yesterday the Zaishen was nundu bay. Nice easy way to get some coins.
Some groups looking for more people, and what was there method. Group looking for more, No Melee.
Seen it before, but long time ago. It just feels so stupid if you ask me.

I get that a lot and almost always from characters in black obsi armor, fail gloves, blindfolds and/or mo zing masks. There was guy selling elite tomes for 2k above their market price and yet he had the audacity to insult me for asking 3k for a +30 health sword pommel. I just shrugged it off because I didn't feel like trolling that time. Felt kind of sorry for him.

But yesterday is another story - selling some stuff and I get a whisper...

Guy: price?
Me: 50k
Guy: lolnoob
Me: 5k*
Guy: okay (opens trade)
Me: ROFLnoob
